Dalby South was established in 1965 and has continued to grow and serve the community of Dalby since that time.
Our staff set high standards for student learning and together with parental and community support is valued and highly regarded. South is a vibrant learning community in which every student is valued and is supported to build on their individual strengths, working towards maximising their learning potential. Our P&C continues to allow us to provide a myraid of resources and advice on a range of key issues which enhance the learning experiences of each and every student at Dalby South. This support is critical to or success.
Dalby South has been a state leader in implementation and development of the principles of Schoolwide Positive Behaviour Support. We were one of the first schools in Queensland to embrace this philosophy (2005). Our schoolwide expectations are: “To be a learner, I will be respectful, responsible and safe.” These schoolwide expectations have continued to be developed and are the basis of our social skills programs.
